You approach the magnificent double doors of the Place and notice the absence of any sort of guard. However, the sense of Power this place emanates; fairly thrumming with unseen life, you can tell that any hostile movement made within these walls would be paid for dearly.

Your guide leads you beyond the doors, into the Main Hall itself. The floor is gold-streaked, white marble; seven alabaster pillars form a semi-circle before you. On each side is an inwardly curving stairway, carpeted in lengths of deep blue. These stairs lead to the second story.

Ahead of you are two doors, as you look questioningly at your guide, she explains, "The left door leads to the Archives of IstaD'Unlas and to the right is the Council Chamber." You...
