You enter the city of Tybis, your guide ever-watchful. All around you are nothing but cat-like entities; tall, thin, fat, housecat types, big cat types. All of them are as varied as any other race. Yet, you can tell from the moment you enter that these people already do not approve of your presence in their city. That is what unites them. That is what bonds them together. Pride and superiority.
Your guide keeps his hand constantly near his hip, where you can see that an ornate dagger is sheathed. He looks over his shoulder at you, "Be wary of everything you say and do, friend. Any misstep here and we will both endure tortures that are undreamed of by most minds."
With that the guide turns again, referring to yet another map from his pouch. "Which would you like to see first?"
The High Palace: Home to the Royal Family (IstaD'Unlas). The high walls and long drawbridge make it seem almost unapproachable. The sense of forboding that emanates from its stones...Curiousity and fear wage war within you. This place seems so silent for being the main body of rule in Oridosha. Is this a dwelling--or a tomb?
The Grand Library. Lore of all kinds is available for those who seek it, all kept neatly within these walls. The white-robed librarians stroll the grounds, each smiling at you in welcome. The folk here seem more willing to accept your presence than the rest of the city, perhaps it is because this is the center of all written history in Tybis, as well as most of the Tyberan Nation, and therefore more open-minded?
The Gates of the House of Armitanis (IstaD'Armitan). Home to a few heroes of its own, this is one of the more approachable homes belonging to the nobility. Currently in the care of Garador Armitanis and his children, it has been the ancestral home of IstaD'Armitan for a great number of generations. The House of Armitanis is ranked Fourth in the Realm among the noble families because of it's multi-faceted family; having family in most major military and religious organizations.
